A New Chapter of Renewal and Expanded Support
From 2023 to 2024, the community witnessed a significant and hopeful transformation. After years of uncertainty following the 2020 flood, the government provided new, fully furnished apartments for families who had lost their homes. This was a long-awaited moment of relief, giving these families a sense of security and stability.
For our organization, Chance for a Better Life, this period also marked an exciting new chapter. We found a spacious and welcoming villa that became our new base of operations—a true home for our mission. With this new space, we expanded our work and deepened our commitment to the community.
We introduced weekly youth meetings, providing a safe space for young people to come together and discuss the challenges they face. We also organized trips and activities that helped build bonds and fostered personal growth. Our outreach grew beyond supporting children from garbage areas; we extended our help to anyone in need, offering educational, medical, and mental health support. Additionally, we started assisting couples preparing for marriage, helping them as they embarked on their new journey.
Our support network has grown stronger and more comprehensive, reaching more people and touching more lives than ever before. With a solid foundation in our new home, we continue to embrace growth and stand by those who need us most, nurturing a community that can thrive.
