Jule 2026

Our employee Nadia organized a wonderful workshop at the kindergarten: The children were able to discover where corn comes from, how it is harvested and how to grill it over a fire afterwards.

As the pictures show, the children not only had a lot of fun, but also learned something new in a practical way. To finish, they enjoyed the freshly grilled corn together – a wonderful experience with a learning effect and a delicious ending!

June 2026

This month, a particularly important date was on the calendar: the entrance tests for our kindergarten boys at the renowned Holy Family School in Helwan/Cairo.
We are all the more delighted and proud that five of our boys have successfully passed the test. Steven, Amir, Faltaous, kerolous, and Adam will be attending this wonderful school next year and taking the next important step in their education.
The pictures show our kids together with their proud parents and our employee Nadja Kamil , who accompanied them on this journey.
We congratulate the boys wholeheartedly and wish them much joy, courage and success as they begin their school career!

Our now well-established and very popular summer courses have started again this summer. They offer students not only the opportunity to deepen and consolidate their school knowledge, but also give them the chance to discover new skills and try them out in practice.
In addition to collaborative learning, the program also includes creative and practical activities, such as making their own candles. This allows children and young people to develop their talents, try new things, and learn with enjoyment.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our staff and course instructors who, with great dedication, patience and attention to detail, ensure that these courses are possible and become a valuable experience for the participants.

Guiding Team Training in Egypt

The Guiding Team was trained by Sandra Gunther from Germany, in collaboration with Nancy Ibrahim, Team Manager in Egypt.

The training took place in the White Desert of Egypt and included visits to several museums to enhance cultural awareness and field experience. A professional workshop was also conducted by Sandra Gunther to develop the team’s guiding skills and improve their overall performance.

March 2026

Our children enjoyed a wonderful day at Merryland Park.
They explored nature, played together, and shared lots of happy moments.

It was a beautiful experience full of learning, joy, and unforgettable memories.

We spend time getting to know street children personally—playing with them, listening to them, and building trust step by step.
Our work doesn’t stop at meetings. We also visit the children where they live, often in the streets or open areas. This helps us understand their real needs and decide what kind of support is possible for each child.
The children are always happy to see us, and with every visit, trust continues to grow.

Anyone who would like to support this work is warmly invited. Currently, we are funding the food participants bring and the rental of the sports field where the meetings take place. This incurs ongoing costs. Thank you so much for any support!

At Chance for a Better Life, we believe that true care begins with preparation, our team successfully completed a specialized First Aid training course under the supervision of Dr. Kerstin, a specialized physician. This ensures that we are fully prepared to handle any emergency situation calmly, quickly, and professionally.

Our kindergarten teachers have completed professional training under the supervision of specialized expert Mrs. Corinna, focusing on enhancing self-awareness and interacting with children thoughtfully and professionally.
We are committed to continuous development to provide our children with a safe, inspiring, and stimulating learning environment.

A Fun Journey into the World of Fish
At our kindergarten, we created a small fish pond where children enjoyed a real-life experience
They tried fishing by themselves, learned that fish live in water.
They also discovered different types of fish, and we ended the day by sharing a fish meal to connect learning with everyday life.
